Workmanship Guarantee & Service Policy — NBN AND CABLING PTY LTD
Every job we complete is backed by a 24-month cable and workmanship warranty — and more than 32 years of industry experience behind every decision we make.
When you invite a trades person into your home or business, you're trusting them to do the job properly, use the right materials, and stand behind their work. NBN AND CABLING PTY LTD commits to all three — in writing. This page sets out exactly what you can expect from us before, during, and after every job across Baldivis, Rockingham, Mandurah, and the surrounding southern suburbs.
Our Commitment to You
Every project is approached with honest advice, clear communication, safe work practices, and respect for your property. We don't cut corners on materials, we don't start additional work without your approval, and we don't leave a job site without testing the work we've completed.
Our commitments on every job:
- Transparent quotations and written approval before any variations proceed
- Quality, fit-for-purpose cables, fittings, and hardware
- Compliant installation, testing, and documentation
- Prompt and fair management of any concerns or warranty claims
24-Month Cable & Workmanship Warranty
All installed cabling and workmanship completed by NBN AND CABLING PTY LTD is covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of completion.
If an installation fault attributable to our workmanship is identified within that period, we will assess the issue and — where it falls within warranty — rectify the affected work at no additional labour charge.
To make a warranty claim, please provide:
- Your name and service address
- Invoice number and installation date
- A description or photograph of the issue where available
Hardware and equipment remain subject to applicable manufacturer warranties. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty exclusions include: accidental damage, misuse, pests, water ingress unrelated to our work, lightning, storms, fire, flood, power surge, building movement, renovation, excavation, unauthorised alteration, third-party work, customer equipment, service provider faults, or pre-existing infrastructure not supplied or installed by us.
Experience & Qualifications
NBN AND CABLING PTY LTD brings more than 32 years of industry experience to every job — including work within demanding mining and military environments where safety, reliability, and accountability are non-negotiable. That same standard applies to every residential and commercial job we take on across the southern Perth suburbs.
All regulated customer cabling is performed or directly supervised by a suitably registered cabler holding the competencies required for the work. Installations follow applicable laws, safety requirements, manufacturer instructions, and current Australian cabling standards including the applicable Wiring Rules. Required cabling compliance documentation is supplied following regulated work.
Quotations, Variations & Pricing
Where practicable, a written quotation or clear estimate will identify the proposed scope, labour, materials, exclusions, and charges before work begins. Quotes are based on visible conditions and information available at the time of assessment.
Concealed damage, blocked conduits, unsafe access, asbestos, defective existing cabling, or undocumented services may require a change in approach. Any material variation or additional charge will be explained and approved before additional work proceeds — except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to make the site safe or prevent further damage.
We use reputable, industry-appropriate materials selected for safety, durability, and dependable performance. An agreed product will not knowingly be replaced with an inferior alternative.
Testing & Completion
New work is visually inspected and tested on completion using suitable equipment. Testing records the condition of the installation at the time of completion.
Testing cannot guarantee future internet speeds or prevent later faults caused by provider networks, customer equipment, interference, or events beyond our reasonable control. Known limitations and relevant completion documentation will be explained or supplied at the end of every job.
Internet performance may be affected by NBN technology type, your service plan, network congestion, Wi-Fi coverage, modem or router capability, connected devices, internal cabling, and environmental interference. No particular speed is guaranteed unless a specific outcome within our control is expressly agreed in writing.
Property Protection
Reasonable precautions are taken on every job to protect your property, minimise disturbance, and plan cable routes carefully. Significant or visible penetrations will be discussed before work wherever practicable. Work areas are left reasonably clean and tidy on completion.
Some dust, marks, or minor disturbance may be unavoidable when accessing roof spaces, subfloors, wall cavities, or existing pathways. Any material foreseeable risk will be discussed before proceeding.
If a roof tile is cracked or broken as a direct result of our work, the affected area will be repaired and weather-sealed with a compatible, high-quality roofing-grade sealant where that provides a sound repair. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, brittle or deteriorated tiles, historic leaks, or building movement.
Customer Responsibilities
To allow us to complete work safely and to the required standard, we ask that customers:
- Provide safe and reasonable access and ensure an authorised adult is present where required
- Disclose known hazards, concealed services, suspected asbestos, and relevant property defects
- Obtain owner, landlord, strata, or body-corporate approval before work begins
- Keep children and animals clear of the work area and move fragile or valuable items
- Provide accurate service information and pay approved charges under the agreed terms
The person authorising the work confirms they have the authority to approve it at the nominated property.
Complaints & Resolution
Concerns are treated seriously, respectfully, and promptly. If you have an issue with any work we've completed, contact us directly:
- Phone: 0468 025 683
- Email: sales@nbncabling.com.au
Please provide your name, service address, invoice number, and details of the issue. We may request photographs, undertake testing, or arrange an inspection before proposing a resolution. Making a complaint does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Appointments, Cancellations & Payment
Reasonable efforts are made to attend within the agreed window. Weather, safety, access, supplier delays, and prior jobs may affect timing. A disclosed cancellation or call-out fee may apply where insufficient notice is given, access is unavailable, or the site is not ready.
Payment is due on completion of work unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing beforehand.
